    No. The running elite Hayat Tahrir al-Sham was before part of Al-Queda, but during the civil war they did split from Al-Queda. After the split Hayat Tahrir al-Sham did fight every jihadi organization which was active in Syria. They are high enemies with them.

    Modern Syria doesn’t have any shariah laws, but all steps taken for any laws are all non-extremist. All laws are based on Syrian Arab Sunni culture and not the religion.
