No. In history the distance for most muslims was too long (high costs). In modern day, around the 50% of muslims was able to pay a trip to Mecca and/or getting the space/oppurtinity/raffle to go to Mecca (only shia and sunnis are counted as muslims).
In islam, if you can pay it and your health is good, you have to go once to Mecca at least in your live for prayings.
