Why are some Turks Western and some not?

In Turkey there are Western regions like Antalya, Istanbul and Izmir, but most people outside Turkey comes from muslim regions. Taking over the whole Western culture is modern at youth in Europe. Atheism is chosen a lot by Turks and Kurds.
